When I read Claire’s enquiry I liked her immediately, she has even more sass than me! Claire is a systems and productivity strategist for creative entrepreneurs that struggles to find great VA’s to recommend to her clients — so she’s launching a course to help people become take-charge VA’s!
Service | Damn Sexy Sales Copy + Emails
I wrote a sales page and 3 sales emails that conveyed Claire’s kickass personality and showed she cares about her clients’ success. However, her copy makes it clear she’s not for everyone and that’s a good thing.
My take | 🤬😥⚡️
Honesty matters to me, so I will be honest here, this sales page was a STRUGGLE to write.
I normally start at the top and “just write” (yes that explanation sucks but I’m unsure how to explain the magic at this points), but with this one I tinkered. I sat moving sections, scratching lines, replacing and rewriting whole paragraphs.
There were 2 really hard-hitting stories that I pulled from her prep work, however when I tried to implement them both into the sales copy, they competed with each other instead of supporting the page…

I outsmarted Stephen King.
I took the offending part that I adored because it spoke to her motivation for creating this course, and turned it into an email.
Suddenly, I could let go of my stubbornness trying to squeeze it in somewhere, anywhere, because it’s just so good it needs to be somewhere!!!! and crack on.
Once I sorted out the sales page, the emails where a breeze.
